I wanted to do a post and focus on a brand I have been absolutely loving this month and that is Urban Decay, If you follow me on social media you will know I was invited to the event for the launch of the new naked heat palette recently, which I was very excited about and I had so much fun, I met some lovely other bloggers, youtubers and makeup addicts, as well as Jen and Lydia from Urban decay who I loved, those girls are so lovely, and It felt like Lydia was one of my long-lost friends, we just hit it off straight away, which is always nice when going to these events.
So the naked heat palette is the palette that literally everyone is talking about right now and for good reason, it’s definitely my favourite naked palette so far!! well done Urban decay, well done!! So obviously at the event I got given the palette and a little goody bag which was so lovely as it has given me the chance to finally try out the famous all nighter setting spray that is very well loved and always raved about, but I just hadn’t got around to picking it up myself!
I’m going to be talking about some cult classics from Urban decay like the setting spray and eyeshadow primer and also some new launches which I was very looking forward to trying.
Shapshifter Palette In light – medium
I have been loving this contour and colour corrector palette, I do love a bit of contour, bronzer and highlighter, although I don’t colour correct that much I was intrigued by this palette. It’s absolutly perfect for travel because it’s all in one and has a handy mirror as well. The shades are perfect for my skin tone as im more fair/light, I’ve used all of these powders and love them all, I’ve used the matte highlight powder to set my face and under my concealer etc and then I like using the lighter contour powder to define my cheeks a bit more and then the darker shade to bronze up my face. The powders are super pigmented and blend lovely. I have been using it non stop since I got it and it’s definitely coming on holiday with me!! If you’re more fair or light and worry about contour powders being to dark this is perfect as it has the more lighter cooler tone to create the shadows and then the warmer darker shade for warming up the face.
Heres just a swatch of the powders just to show you how pigmented they are, you really do only need to slighty tap into the palette as the pigment is so good. All these shades work perfect for my skin tone.
Shapeshifter F113 pro Duo Brush
The shape shifter duo brush I’ve also been loving, its perfect for this palette, it has the fan side which is perfect for dusting on highlighter and the other side is more dense to sculpt out the cheek bones, the brush is super soft so it’s really easy to use and blend out product.
Naked Heat Palette
Now I haven’t reviewed this palette or done any swatches on my blog as I just felt like everyone has talked about this so much, and what more can I say that others haven’t, but I am loving this, it is perfect for both summer and autumn, the smokey warm brown and orange tones I am seriously in love with lately. The shades are so pigmented and blend out like a dream. When I was at the event one of the Urban Decay makeup artist used this on Lydia and actually used one of the shades as a blush, it looked so gorgeous, I can’t wait to play around with this some more. It also goes perfect with the original eyeshadow primer potion, I can’t live without using eyeshadow primer, and this one is definitely a must have, It makes my shadow last for hours!!
Quick Fix Priming spray & All nighter setting spray
If you know me then you know I love a good face spray. whether its primers, setting sprays or even sprays that just refresh the skin. I have quite the collection of face sprays but I didn’t have any from Urban Decay so I was really excited to try these.
The Quick Fix Hydra-Charged Complexion Prep Priming Spray I use before I add anything to my face in the mornings and before I apply my makeup, it just really freshens up the skin and makes you feel awake, It smells gorgeous as well like coconuts, you can use this over makeup as well to just hydrate and freshen up the skin. It claims to reduce the appearance of pores, replaces lost moisture and wakes up the skin. This is like everything I want in a priming spray!
The all nighter spray is a setting spray so is used once you have completed all your makeup and you really don’t want it budging, this is so good for events, nights out, etc. It’s like superglue but without feeling like glue ha!
It claims to make your makeup last for up to 16 hours, without melting, fading or setting into fine lines.
Naked skin Highlighter fluid
The naked skin concealer is one of my favourites so I was looking forward to trying these, as I do love a liquid highlighter, the packaging is exactly the same as the concealers so people can get mixed up with these, and I dont see these get talked about a lot but they should as they’re so nice.
A creamy highlighter that instantly illuminates and blurs flaws for the perfect Naked glow!
I love to glow and these are just so handy to pop in your makeup bag and for travel and to touch up throughout the day. I just love the look of glowy and radiant skin on people, including myself. These are great for strobing and giving that glow from within look.
5 shades to choose from so you will definitely find one you love.
Sin – the perfect champagne
Fireball – peach with a pink shift
Skywalk- an amazing blue
Luminous- silver white pearl
Aura – a soft pink
L-R Fireball,Sky walk, Sin, Luminous
Vice sheer shimmer Lipstick In ex girlfriend
I haven’t tried the Urban Decay lipsticks before but I get recommended them all the time, I definitely need to pick up some of the liquid lipsticks next, I feel like liquid lips have taken over and no one ever talks about normal lipsticks anymore. But you can’t beat a nice lipstick for more natural days. This shade is perfect for me as I do love a nude, it’s a sheer shimmer lipstick, so it feels so moisturising on the lips and is really wearable. Also how gorgeous is the packaging?! I’m such a sucker for packaging. This shade is a your lips but better colour, a rosy type nude pink, It’s very natural, well on me it is anyway.
Rehab makeup prep pore refining peel
And lastly is the pore refining peel mask, they have just recently launched skin care which I’m dying to try actually and after using this I really want to try a few of the other skin care bits including the Hot Springs Hydrating Gel. Now I would love to say I don’t suffer with pores but I really do, and I like using creams, primers and masks that make them look smaller. I love the fact this is a peel off mask, it’s always so satisfying peeling off face masks don’t you think?!. I’ve used this a few times so will definitely report back and let you know if it’s helped with my pores.
“Rehab Makeup Prep Pore Refining Peel is like a vacuum for your pores. This easy-to-use, peel-off mask immediately draws out impurities—leaving pores visibly cleaner, more refined and smaller-looking”
So those are the products I’ve been loving from Urban Decay this month.
