I want to talk about a brand I am absolutely loving at the moment. I can’t stop looking at their products and wanting to buy everything. The packaging is stunning and so eye catching. And most importantly the product it’s self is just as amazing!
Keep on reading to see what I’ve been buying be warned this post will contain lots of pretty images!!
How stunning is this packaging though I can’t get over how pretty it is. I think tarte has always been purple but they are killing it with the new colours I love the pink, purple, blue and gold it’s so eye catching.
The tarte in bloom palette and the rainforest of the sea skin twinkle palette was the first couple of bits I ordered from Sephora recently, I already own and love the original tarte palette so I had to get the in bloom palette I had my eye on this for ages and I finally gave in and got it. Normally I would have ordered off QVC but the in bloom palette was out of stock for ages and I couldn’t wait.
It’s the perfect everyday palette, and you can create natural or more glam evening looks with this it’s really versatile. Couple of my favourite shades are Rebel, smarty pants and firecracker.
I spoke about the skin twinkle palette in my September favourites but I’m obsessed with it, I’ve also shown it a lot on my snapchat. But I use it every day and the highlighter shades are so gorgeous. left – sunlight is a light gold / middle – filtered light beige/neutral matte shade / right – moonlight a peachy rose gold I love mixing sunlight and moonlight together and I use mac fix plus to intensify the highlight on my skin, it is pigmented enough without using fix plus but I always like using fix plus because of my dry skin, as using too much powder can make it look a little cakey or dry. The middle shade isn’t a highlighter but more of a setting powder, I’m a little disappointed it’s not a highlighter shade as I think it would be better, it seems a little bit random to have in the palette and it’s also hard to pick up product for some reason, I think that shade could use some work and be a bit more smoother but I still like to use it to set my under eyes as it’s the perfect shade for me.
One of the recent things I ordered was this tarte skin care set from Sephora it was only $16 which is such a bargain and I love sets like this as it gives the perfect opportunity to try out some products without buying the full size. This set includes the H2O hydrating boost moisturiser, frxxxtion stick exfoliating cleanser, marine boosting mist and a lip scrub. I’ve actually been wanting to try a few of the skin care products for a while especially the frxxxtion stick, H20 moisturiser and the marine boosting mist. I love tarte sets especially for the holidays. I know QVC UK sell a few of the tarte skin care products so if I get on with these I know where I can purchase the full size. I do hope they have some skin sets coming up on QVC for the holidays as I would love to try some other goodies.
another set I couldn’t resist was this curl boss set, I actually got a tarte lash curler set last year and it’s one of the best lash curlers I’ve used so I had to get another one and I loved that this one was all blingy. I have never tried this mascara but I’ve seen loads of people rave about tarte mascaras so I’m looking forward to trying it.
now for the product I’ve been waiting to get my hands on for some time, and let me tell you this did not disappoint at all it’s seriously amazing and worth all the hype it’s currently getting! I have been stalking QVCUK for weeks waiting for this, as in the uk that’s the only place that sells it or tarte directly. it’s a ulta exclusive so wont be in Sephora. It is always out of stock on QVC but I finally managed to get one in the shade fair and it’s like my new holly grail concealer. The shade is perfect for me it gives me such a bright highlight under the eyes, it’s full coverage and blends so easily. And the fact its full coverage I was worried it would make my under eyes look dry but it doesn’t at all it’s really hydrating which is hard to believe for a full coverage concealer. I’m so impressed, the Tarte quicke blending sponge came with it on QVC but I know in America you have to buy it separately, that’s one of the reasons I love QVC as you get really good deals. It was £27 for this set and it’s so worth it. I’m actually going to try and get two more shades one that matches more of my skin for blemishes and scars and also one for contouring with.
I really wish I could have swatched everything in this post to show you how amazing the palettes are but I would have been writing this post forever, and had about 100 pictures if I could.
I hear so many people talk about tarte cosmetics and also ask me about where I get all my bits from, I think everyone including me wishes we had the whole collection in the uk as they’re a great brand but we just don’t get all the products, but I do think this is about to change. I follow Leigh who is the brand ambassador for tarte at QVC uk and she’s so lovely I ask her loads of stuff on Facebook and she always replies and is so helpful. It seems like we will be getting lots of new tarte products on QVC at the end of the year and start of next year, so excited I can’t wait!!
I asked Leigh about the new pro palette and pro glow palette and she said to keep an eye out January/February yay! I need that pro glow palette in my life!
I’ve also been naughty over the weekend and ordered more tarte bits whoops!! QVC was doing an amazing deal on a tarte set that had the rainforest of the sea foundation and brush with a palette, lipstick, mascara and eyeliner for an amazing £40 so of course I couldn’t pass that deal up and I ordered it. I actually persuaded a lot of other girls to order it on Twitter as well ha ha I’m such a bad influence. I will be doing a review on it so keep an eye out for that, I also ordered a holiday brush set and manged to get the tape shape concealer in light as it was back in stock so look out for another Tarte haul in a few weeks.
Have you tried anything from tarte? Let me know below.
