well I’m finally giving my review on these kylie cosmetics lip glosses, I actually ordered these on April 1st but after a few issues I’m finally ready to talk about my experience and my overall thoughts on these.
Now are they really worth the hype? In my opinion yes! I would love to say no to this question as the actual order and shipping process is so stressful it makes me want to rip my hair out, I must have the worst luck or something as every time I’ve ordered I seem to have issues or drama.
And can I just say how shocking the customer servive is for this company, If I didn’t love kylies products so much I would stay well clear of ordering of this company, they lack certain customer service skills needed when dealing with a business of this size.
So on April 1st I managed to order all 3 shades “like, Literally & so Cute” I couldn’t decide which shade I wanted as its so hard to go from swatches online. I’m glad I did get all 3 as the shade I was least interested in happens to now be my favourite of the bunch!
My lip glosses got dispatched about 5 days after I ordered, processing is about 3-5 days so it was within that time although it felt like forever, they then took about 3weeks to arrive to me as they got stuck at customs for 6 days!! and guess what I then had another custom charge of £15 I could have cried this is the 3rd time I’ve had to pay customs, but whatever I knew the risk, I just kept saying to myself I love the products so I need to get over it, But I see so many people order way more lip kits then me and they get away without a charge… what’s that about?
They arrived in the normal black box and came with this cool card with a little note on from kylie, the lip gloss box packaging is different to the lip kits but still has the same dripping design, the bottles pretty much look identical to the lip kits but just have gloss printed on them instead of lipstick.
on to the actual product….I thought the lip glosses were actually really nice, creamy and very pigmented. They didn’t feel sticky or horrible on the lips like some can and they lasted a few hours on me, but the staying powder obviously isn’t as good as a liquid lipstick. I’m happy to re apply these though throughout the day.
The brush on my literally gloss was pretty bad though, I was expecting this as I had seen so much drama over the brush applicator on twitter and snapchat. which I was pretty annoyed about, its actually put me off ordering anything she brings out on the first release as I feel like we are the ones testing out the products and then she changes them for everyone else, I understand she’s still new and learning but don’t sell half finished product’s that aren’t ready to be sold to the public! Thanks to Jeffree Star calling her out on this she agreed to send replacements to people who ordered first. In my opinion I’m not sure if they would have even replaced them if it wasn’t for another company calling her out on this.
This is where my issues start, the customer service needs improving massively. They put the wrong postcode on my package and when I asked them about this they wouldn’t change it for me, they said I had to contact USPS now the fact I’m from the UK getting hold of them is a nightmare, many emails got ignored and tweets too I had no luck getting hold of USPS so my lip glosses had arrived in the UK and I had no idea if I was even going to get them, I had emailed Kylie cosmetics about this and explained everything and the response I got was shocking, they said they cannot offer a replacement for the glosses as it was a complimentary package and if it was lost or stolen they are not liable….
Urmm 1. it was your fault the product was faulty in the first place 2. again it was your fault the address was wrong and wouldn’t change it, it could have easily been changed before they sent it so I don’t understand the issue! I just find the responses people seem to get back are so blunt and rude. I had so many emails back and forth and everyone left me more angry, I would write a long email and get a short sentence as a reply its like they couldn’t even be bothered to read my email, If you have read my kylie lip kit review you will know I had some issues then with emailing and customer service.
after actually contacting royal mail they said I would just have to wait it out and see if the sorting office flagged it up and if it could be delivered it would but if not it would be returned to sender.
luckily under a week later it did arrive but guess what?? yep another charge so I had to pay to pick up a replacement item, I was thrilled at this point and so over the whole thing! lol I said to myself that’s it, I don’t care how much I love the products I am not ordering anymore, we shall see how long this lasts though I have no willpower and I do really like the lip kits and glosses.
this is the new brush which is 100 times better, and no frayed hairs yay!

my favourite I’ve been wearing recently is so cute, its a bit light to wear on its own but with a darker lip liner or lipstick underneath its so nice, I’ve actually been wearing it with dolce k. literally is the perfect neutral nude and seems to be the favourite that everyone loves, and like is the more warm brown nude. It Doesn’t matter if you are fair or dark skinned one of these will be the perfect nude for you.
my advice if you want to order anything from kylie cosmetics
*don’t order anything on the first release as she will end up changing it.
*be quick and know what you want to order before you go on the site as you wont have time to hang around.
*don’t expect much communication from them, you will be lucky if you get a shipping confirmation email.
*expect a custom charge! the box is very noticeable now and customs are cracking down
*if a package is lost, stolen or faulty I doubt you will get a replacement without being told they aren’t liable. so many girls have been ignored about lost or stolen packages.
